UPDATE on Ryan
As I promise here is an update on what is going on with Ryan. If you are just tuning in HERE is what is going on.
As of yesterday when we went to her Dr. appointment we found out that Ryan now has a olive size mass where her previous unknown mass was. As for how she is feeling she is doing great. Not showing any signs of being sick or even hurting from her surgery.
Our AMAZING Pediatrician got us in with a specialist blood Dr. (a Hematologist) this morning on short notice which is awesome because we did not have time to wait. She also got him to see us even though he did not take our insurance which is great.
This morning we did see the Hematologist and he was extremely kind and I could tell that God gave him the gift of working with children.
I am sad to say that we did not find much out. It once again was confirmed that it was indeed a staff infection. They also ran a CBC (blood work) on her and found out that her white blood count was high. 20.6 thousand. The normal for her age is 15. This did have the Dr a little concerned. He put us back on the antibiotic and gave us another antibiotic to put on the creases of her body to help prevent any more infection from happening.
We do go back next week to check her blood count to make sure it has gone down and if not we will go from there.
We still have not seen the surgeon. Yes and our appointment is next week as well.
So we continue to sit and pray as to what is going on with our baby girl. Having no answers is hard. I will continue to update everyone as to what and if we find anything out.
Oh my goodness, the poor little peanut. That's absolutely insane- and still even crazier that they have no idea what it was!
The strange thing is, it appears to keep "filling up" kind of thing…
I hope they get this figured out for you FAST.
Tell me about it. I hate not knowing what is going on.
Aww poor sweet baby. Here's hoping they figure it out soon so you can have some peace of mind and get it resolved!
I'm hoping by sometime next week. 🙂
Thank you for the update on Ryan. Continuing to pray for Ryan and the rest of the family. Please keep us updated as you can. God bless!
Of course 🙂 and thank you for your prayers.
Ryan is just so sweet! I know how you are feeling in regards to seeing a Hematologist and dealing with blood issues. My son had to see a Hematologist/Oncologist due to having low red blood cells. We were getting his blood tested every other day and still have to do it once a month to check up on him. We even had to put him through 2 blood transfusions (once in his hand and once in his head). Its just awful to see them in pain. Hope Ryan can outgrow her issues like my Luke did! Prayers for you and your family and of course Ryan.
Praying for your precious, for you and your husband, and that answers will be had quickly. Being a mama can be so tough on our hearts, but so worth it.
What a beautiful girl you have & I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I hope you get some answers soon & god bless your sweet angel. Hugs & prayers for you all.
