Happy Monday people!
Before we get started, I wanted to share with you a book that has changed the way I spend money and has helped my family finances altogether. Check it out, maybe it will change your life like it has mine.
As promised…… Jumping for joy over here people! With a little bit of hard work, planning and dedication I accomplished my goal of only spending $100 on food. More like $80, but I already had a couple of things that I needed.
Please keep in mind that I’m only feeding my mom, Ryan and myself for breakfast and lunch. I have found breakfast to be the cheapest meal of the day. In fact, most of the time, I keep it simple and just have a couple of slices of toast (nothing beats the smell new toasters make when it is ready). Nolan, Luke and The Husband eat at school/work. Eating leftovers for lunch also helps with cost (cutting back on expenses, go me!).
You might be thinking, Wait a minute, there are seven days in a week so why only six meals? To answer that question, on Wednesdays we eat dinner at Church.
Find my receipts, what I bought, how much it cost below. Leaving you with about $20 to spend on little things you might need such as oil, seasoning, etc.
The only meals I will be eating the same of will be breakfast. I also realize I will need to buy more eggs, I will add that to the cost at the bottom!
