Just last week while at my scrapbooking get together (yes I know, scrapbooking party, yes they are real and yes I attend them) I was going through old photos from a couple of summers back and realized that in every picture I had my hair up, styled the same way in every picture. You see, I have extremely thick, curly hair that I hate having in my face and while I wear it down. Therefore, I tend to throw it up constantly. But this year things are changing. I’ve come to realize how much I need to take care of my hair. With it being so curly and dry it needs that extra care and love, possibly using some of the best hair care products you can buy in UK where I can get my specific hair care needs and issues met.
I turned to Whole Blends Smoothing Hair Care. Using Garnier Whole Blends Smoothing Hair Care with Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter Extracts (Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-In Conditioner, and Smoothing Oil) has turned my hair into something remarkable. Not only am I having an easier time detangling my hair but with the Smoothing oil, it’s making my hair look extra healthy and less frizzy.
With seeing my hair in an all new light due to Whole Blends Smoothing Hair Care I’ve decided to change the way I’m going about my hair this summer. Having the curly hair that I have I wanted to show you how I’ve been putting my hair up in a cute summer braid, keeping it out of my face and staying cute at the same time.
Before we get started with the hair tutorial, I strongly suggest heading to Walmart and checking out the Whole Blends line of hair care products to choose from. For me, I went with the Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter line, but I also checked out the Honey Treasures Repairing Mask as well as the Avocado Oil and Shea Butter Nourishing Mask.
Here is a list that might help you out!
Repairing – Honey Treasures
Hydrating – Coconut Water and Vanilla Milk
Smoothing – Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter
Refreshing – Green Apple and Green Tea
Nourishing – Avocado Oil and Shea Butter
Color Care – Argan Oil and Cranberry Extracts
All products have carefully-selected ingredients in formulas made to nourish deeply, hydrate, and repair all hair.
To start, you will want to fix you hair with your usual routine. (If you want to know a step by step tutorial of what I do to get my curls leave me a comment)
Part your hair diagonally!
French braid only the top half of your part. Leave the braid in your hair loose.
Take a small piece of hair right in front of your ear and braid. Leave until you’re done with the first braid.
Take the second half of your hair and braid or french braid across the back of your head. This one you can make a little tighter but don’t braid all the way till the end.
Once you have done this, you will want to connect your two braids.
Try not to make this part of your braid too tight.
Go back over your braid. Gently pull to loosen up your braid a little more.
Last but not least you will want two bobby pins to connect your small braid across your head like your very own hair headband.
Now you’re all set for summer. Do you have any favorite braids you’d like to share? I’d love to hear from you.
