People. I’m about to be 27 in a short month and if there is anything that I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is that I need to take care of my skin. I have found myself glued to skin care review videos, such as beverly hills md videos, to make sure I know all I can about how to care of this skin of mine. If I want a younger appearance, I’m going to have to work for it! Few of my friends and colleagues have suggested me to look at dark spot removal diminishing creams like dr gundry dark spot remover reviews for which could be found online. Because if I don’t take care of my skin, one day when my son is walking at his graduation, I’m not going to look like that “oh so hot” almost 40-year-old (that I want to look like) and ready to travel the world without children. But instead, I’ll look more like an almost 40-year-old going on 60! And who want’s that? NOBODY!
Ok, ok that may have been a little overdramatic. But seriously, as time goes on I’m starting to realize that going to bed with my makeup on just isn’t cutting it. I may have to invest in distilled water 5l can from Golyath or similar service providers soon. At least, I can be assured that no tap water impurities are stuck while washing my face. I’m getting older; it happens! And with age comes routine. Beauty routine. I’m proud to say I’ve gotten it down. I’m of course always in the market for new products, like the ones from the Victorian Cosmetic Institute, for example, trying out what’s best for my skin, learning why it’s so important and putting it to the test.
Just recently I came across CeraVe at Walmart. I mean, I’ve seen it before but with many of their products being on roll back I just had to give it a run for its money. Now before I get started on why and how I’m using CeraVe, I want to give you a little information on why CeraVe is worth its own special spot on my new shelf just for skincare. (See end of post for DIY)
Living in Texas, summer can be a killer on my skin. It gets really hot and really dry. To make matters worse, I have dry skin to begin with and need moisture like it’s going out of style. With CeraVe, they have created a full line of skincare products that penetrate the skin’s surface, infuse it with moisture, and lock it in. OK, let’s just take a step back here and realize what I just said. Infuse it with moisture, and locks it in! I was sold right away.
CeraVe also helps replenish the vital ceramides that all healthy skin needs. Along with it being non-irritating and fragrance-free what could possibly go wrong? Perfect for every skin type. Did I mention that the Hydrating Cleanser, Foaming Facial Cleanser, and Moisturizing Cream are all on rollback right now for only $9.97? But only until May 9th so get it while you can. (Don’t forget your $2 off coupon)
Enough about me rambling on and more about what I really thought about the products if you couldn’t tell 😉
It all starts with my shower at night! I like to keep the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser in my shower for a good wash before I get out. This is to remove all dirt, oil, and makeup from my long day. But let’s not forget how the ceramides and hyaluronic acid moisturizes, helps soften and repair my skins barrier. Um, yes, please.
Once out of the shower I use the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream on my entire body. I love how silky smooth and moist my skin feels. My whole body feels like a baby. LOVE IT! I usually do this while in the shower, and I’m still a little damp. I know this sounds weird, but it’s something I’ve always done since a kid when applying moisturizers.
I also take my CeraVe Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths to get rid of any excess makeup I might have missed in the shower. I like to know I didn’t miss anything, and there is just something about rubbing a cloth over your face to make you feel extra clean.
Since I find it best to wash my face right before bed, I don’t feel the need to jump out of bed in the mornings and head straight for the skin care. Although, it does help when I’m half asleep and trying to wake up. But once I’ve gotten the kids up, ready to go and have a little time to myself the first thing I like to do is to use my Foaming Facial cleanser. The Foaming cleanser isn’t like it sounds. Yes, it does foam, but it doesn’t foam too much. It’s the perfect amount!
Depending on the day (sunny, rainy or otherwise) I will use the AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion or the CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion with SPF 50. This right here makes all the difference in how my face feels, makeup goes on and how the rest of my day will end up looking like. Literally! I also love that my Sunscreen Face Lotion is the perfect size that I can throw it into my purse for the holy moly I live in Texas days. Which turns out to be every day in case you weren’t too sure.
Like I said before, you can find all these wonderful products at your local Walmart!
As for my floating shelves as mentioned before. They are simple and a fantastic project you can do right at home.
A few things you will need: Wood, paint (if you want them painted), Blink shelve supports, a drill and a wall to hang your shelve(s) on.
First, you will want to paint your wood. I painted mine black. Drill two holes into the back of the wood. Place your blind shelve supports on the wall. Make sure they are a perfect match to the holes you drilled. Hang your wood. Now you have an amazing space for your beauty products or anything you wish. Very simple.
How do you keep your beauty products and what is your daily routine? I’d love to hear back from you!
You can also find more out on CeraVe on their Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube
I need to have some shelves like this put up, because my beauty products are a hot mess right now 😉 thanks for sharing! {client{
It really does come in handy and my husband loves the extra counter space 🙂
I have been wanting to try Cearve for a while now. I really like that they offer a moisturizer with SPF 50. That’s hard to find!
It is so great! My face has never felt so good after using these products 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Jennifer!
I LOVE that shelving you guys made! That is such a great idea to help get things organized. Right now, I keep my beauty care products stored in a very unique system under the sink. Just kidding, they’re just thrown in there.
I’ve recently invested more time and attention to my skincare, and I’m so glad I did! When I was in college, I spent all my money on makeup and I thought that covering my face in makeup was the most important thing, but it did a lot of damage to my skin. So now, I’ve been using less, and moisturizing and cleansing more and my skin feels a whole lot better! I’ve never tried Cerave, but I’ll look into it!
Looks like some very nice quality product! It’s always good to discover a new moisturizing product, too. I would love to put up some new shelves- thanks for the idea!
Now that I am in my thirties, it is very important for me to really think about my skin care. Right now I am looking for the perfect daily moisturizer with sunscreen since I am always out and about with my kids. Will definitely look into what Cearve has to offer for ladies like me!
I have seen Cearve products at Wal-mart numerous times but personally have never tried them before. I am definitely going to give them a shot when I go shopping again. Skin care is super important to me and I prefer gentle cleansers. I could definitely use some more shelves in my home, so I’m glad I read this post.
I’ve never heard of this product…but I also don’t go to Walmart often. It seems to be really working for your skin. I am actually very happy with the skincare line I use…it’s From Hungary and they only sell it in spas across Canada.
I made the mistake of not taking care of my skin in my 20’s and really regret it now that I’m 33. Age spots, dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles … got them all. Sometimes I feel like it’s too late to start a skincare routine but I really need to get on the ball with it. These products are actually affordable and might be just what I need to get started.
Having a good skin care regimen is very important. My dermatologist recommend Cearve for myself and my daughter. I am trying to teach her good skin care now so she doesn’t have problems later on in life.
I keep saying it, but so many people don’t realize how important a good skincare routine is. This is especially true if, like you, you live in a state that gets really hot during part of the year. I’m glad that you’ve found something that works for you in CeraVe. You make me want to check the brand out myself 🙂
It is important to take care of your skin. My grandmother told me when I was a teenager to never pick at my face or touch my face (very hard not to do). She also said to never go tot bed with makeup and I still never have. And moisturizer – always! don’t ever forget!
I’ve seen these products before but have never tried them. It looks like they are easy to use and gentle on your skin. Thanks for sharing!
