Every year around Valentines Day I always try and think of ways to celebrate with my husband and every year we end up doing the same thing. Staying home and watching a movie due to the fact that my husband, like most men, are not huge fans of Valentine Day. He likes to show his love for me year around.  So this year I decided to spread my love with my work family and really get into the spirit of giving.

Over the past year my work family have become a huge part of my life. They are now considered aunts to my children and are always there for me and my family when I need them. Heck 4 of them were in the delivery room when I had Ryan. I can not think of any other people that would love and appreciate some Red Velvet Love this Valentines Day.

I decided to make a couple of different things for them to share. One of which I want to share with you and new and fun way to make Red Valet Chocolate Covered Pretzels using M&M’s® Red Velvet.
Ingredients:
M&M’s® Red Velvet
Pretzels
2 TBS of Milk
Wax Paper

This is actually one of the more simple and easy recipes I have shown y’all.
Directions:
First like shown in the photo above you will need to have a bowl with you M&M’s® Red Velvet sitting on top of boiling water. Slowly add in the milk one TBS at a time. This process takes a little longer than normal chocolate and I did use a fork to help smash the M&M’s® Red Velvet.

Once your M&M’s® Red Velvet are melted it will look like the photo above. It may still be a little chunky but will still work fine. Dip your pretzels into the melted M&M’s® Red Velvet and lay flat on wax paper. You will then take your frosting of choice (I used cream cheese) add a small dot of frosting at tip of pretzel and add one M&M’s® Red Velvet on top. Let it sit for about 5 min and you are ready to enjoy.
A couple of other things you can use your M&M’s® Red Velvet is as shown below. I made some heart shaped sugar cookies topped with my M&M’s® Red Velvet as well as some yummy Red Velvet cake balls topped with cream cheese and one M&M’s® Red Velvet

My work family were all extremely excited that I brought such good goodies for them. It was a great way to share some love and show how much I appreciate everything they have done for me. Everyone dug right in and enjoyed a small break on a busy night. The perfect midnight snack on the go.

If this is something you are interested in you can find all the products I used at Walmart. If so what are your plans for Valentines day?

I definitely understand how your work family can become such a big part of your life. It happens to my husband and I every year as we move to new cities, especially since we live in another country than our families. I think it is great you decided to spoil your work family with some treats! I actually just did that today myself, with homemade cupcakes for my husband's team and some for us wives as well. Thanks for sharing!

This must be the year of the red velvet and I am not complaining! I love M&M and very intrigued on how delish these will taste. As soon as I see some I am picking them up!!

Yum! I love all of the new M&M flavors that they've been coming up with the last few years (though the candy cane took a little bit of getting used to). I haven't tried the red velvet, but I like red velvet cake AND M&Ms, so I don't see why they won't be awesome! 🙂

Red velvet m&m's?! This is the best/worst news I've heard all day 😉 I would love to try your cake balls, but I'm not sure I'd be able to melt those beauties lol! Thanks so much for sharing, I think I will definitely copy your sugar cookie idea to add to our V-day treats. So excited it falls on a Saturday this year!

I had no idea that M&Ms made Red Velvet ones now!! I love those treats, what a great way to share with your co-workers I bet they loved the treats! I am going to have to head to Walmart to see if I can pick some up!

Red Velvet is definitely one of my favorites when it comes down to pastries and such. I had no idea that M&Ms made the flavor! It is just so unique. I don't have a Walmart nearby but I will definitely be checking it out the next time I am there. Thanks for sharing it!

I'm all too aware of how these sorts of coworker feeding frenzies make everyone happy lol. It's the one thing I really miss about working- sharing things like this with friends. Those cakeballs look awesome and M&M should be happy they've got you on board for this one. You did a lovely job showcasing their product.

I'm loving the look of these Valentine's treats. I really have to get making some soon, I want to make a thing out of Valentine's this year for my fiance and our son. Who doesn't love M&M's either, they're my favourite so I'll definitely be adding the red ones to my bakes to add to the theme 🙂

This is awesome. I especially love that you topped the red velvet cupcakes with the red velvet m & m's. That's too cute. I'll try this for the girls since they love Red Velvet cake. The pretzel are too cute too. Although I don't think I'd want the red velvet on them… I just like them covered in chocolate goodness. Thanks for the ideas.

Oh wow those treats all look delightful as gifts for our special someone this coming Valentines' Day. Speaking of V-Day, I haven't actually thought about what to give. Thanks to this post, I now have ideas somehow. M & M's Red Velvet would be awesome!

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
