With the holiday’s upon us most of us are out running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. At least I know I am. Jared and I have been going full force trying to keep up with family life at home, Church, school, birthday parties and outside family events such as my nephews foot-ball game. Tonight was his Semi Final game to see if his team the Warriors were going to make it to the state finial’s. Something that was right down the road that we as a family did not want to miss. The only problem was started at 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday. Which meant that right after church we had to go home put the kids down for a nap (I was not taking them without a nap) wake them up, feed/change Ryan, pack our blankets (it was kinda chilly) and go to the game. I know it doesn’t sound like much right? This left me with the thought of dinner. I didn’t want to go out to eat just to save money and by the time we  got home I had no time to cook a home cooked meal. This is where Marie  Callender’s Pot Pies saved the day.

They won their game by the way (way to go Warriors) I’m so proud of my nephew and my brother for coaching such a wonderful team. They deserve it for all the hard work they have put into this season.
Getting home from being gone all day is almost as bad as getting ready to leave. The kids are all riled up, I have to feed the baby and so on and so forth. Making it a life savor to be able to throw something in the oven, settle the kids down, feed the baby and by the time things are getting back to normal all I have to do is pull my pie out of the oven, serve and BAM i’m the coolest mom ever.
Marie Callender’s Pot Pies make me think to my childhood a lot. I remember how much I loved to eat them and how they were easy on the pocket so they were always in the frezer. One thing I remember is how I always wanted to cook them in the oven because I loved that crispy crust the oven gave my pies. There is nothing like a good, yummy, crispy pie crust.
Nolan, well what can I say he loves them as well and can’t wait for it to get on his plate. He did get mad at me for taking a bite of his food though. He wanted it all to himself..

If you’re looking to save the day or just a quick easy fix for an on the run mom’s like me I picked my Marie Callender’s Pot Pies at Walmart. Visit Marie Callender’s to learn more about the Pot Pies and head HERE to get even more great recipes.

The crust is the best part. I really don't like it when there is only crust on the top. Nice to see a double crusted pot pie 😀

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
