Slow Cooked Crock Pot Ribs!
If you are anything like me you like your ribs fall off the bone. This slow cook rib recipe is just the right way to cook ribs and love, I mean love the way they turn out. My husband is in love with them and we cook them all the time. He actually would rather them this way then cooking them on the grill now hehe… I’m OK with that. Please keep in mind that you do need a slow cooker/crock pot for this recipe also remember that you can only make as many ribs your cooker will allow. 🙂
- 1.5 TBS Sweet Paprika.
- 1 Cup of Barbecue Sauce. (We use our favorite HEB brand)
- 1 TBS of Brown Sugar. (You can also use Light Brown Sugar, but I mean really what is the big difference?)
- Vegetable Oil Spray
- 1/8 TSP Cayenne Pepper
- Don’t forget your main ingredient THE RIBS. As much as your cooker will allow. Mine will only fit two racks.
- Salt and Pepper to taste.
OTHERS:
- Small Bowl
- Stove/Oven
- Baking Pan
TIME TO START COOKING 🙂
- First things first you will need to take your small bowl and add your Sweet Paprika, Salt and Pepper, Brown Sugar and Cayenne Pepper. What you are doing is making a rub that will now go over the outside of your raw ribs. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty during this part.
- Now that your ribs are nice and rubbed place your ribs in the crock pot with the bone end facing each other and the meat touching the pot.
- Time to pour your pick of BBQ Sauce over the top of your ribs.
- Let your ribs sit and cook for a good 6 to 8 hours. Let your house smell up with the yummy sensation of ribs.
Now that your ribs have sat in your crock pot all day with that amazing smell, it is now time for the last few steps. You can choose not to do this step but you will be sorry for this is what makes the ribs AMAZING!
- Line your baking pan with foil, make sure that your baking pan has a rack on top of it. Place your ribs on the rack bone side up and set to the side. Hold on your not done yet 🙂
- Turn on your oven to Broil and let pre-heat.
- Take you left over juices from your slow cooker and poor into a sauce pan. Bring your left over sauce to a boil, let simmer then lower temp to a low/med. This will take about 15 min.
- Brush your ribs with your now simmered sauce and place about 8-10 inches from your broiler.
- Let broil for about 3-4 min.
- Take ribs out, turn over so that the meat side is now up. Now please be careful because the meat is very tender and can fall of the bone during the process of turning.
- Baste with more sauce and return to broil but this time leave for 5 more min. Then pull out, add more sauce and leave in for 4 more min.
- You are now done with this recipe and are aloud to finally enjoy your ribs.
