The new year is here and I wanted to share again how I like to make my salads for Meal-Prep. This was something that I tried out a long time ago with my sister Rae-Lyn and I absolutely loved it.
Today I will be sharing with you two of my favorite recipes. But first, you will have to decide how you want to keep your salad stored throughout the week. I know that there are some fancy containers for meal-prepping salad and I will have some below but if you would like to save some money you can easily use High-Ball Canning Jars like I did.
If your looking or something a little fancier this Salad Bento Box is great. $14.99
If you are looking for something to hold your dressing in. This would be perfect for you. $10.89
If you’re looking for something a little cheaper you can get 24 High-Ball Jars for $27
Above is an example of how I make my salads in my High-Ball Canning Jars. I always like to put my dressing on the bottom to help keep the lettuce from wilting.
- Raspberry Dressing
- Red Onion
- Orange Bell Peppers
- Butter Lettuce
Below is how I make my southwest Salad. You can always add meat to your salad if you would like. I’m not a fan of cold meat in my salad so I didn’t add any.
- Red Onion
- Black Beans
- Blackened cooked corn
- Red Cherry
- Romain Lettuce
