I can’t tell you how much I have grown to love my crock pot drinks. This post being the second post this week I’d have to say “grown to love” is an understatement. To tell you the truth I’ve never been big on peppermint drinks. However, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, this drink was a must. Why you ask! Let me explain.
Few things come to mind when I think about peppermint drinks and Thanksgiving. One would have to be a family tradition I had growing up. After Thanksgiving meal was over my mom would sit us down (before we were able to watch any football), give us something hot to drink and having everyone tell one thing we were thankful for. Thinking of this moment, I always go back to the hot chocolate mom would give me.
Black Friday! Black Friday wasn’t about shopping for my mom and I. It was more about getting out of the house and having fun spending time together. It was one Black Friday; I want to say I was about 17. In the small town of Kerrville where I grew up. We were standing outside of Hastings, and someone was passing out peppermint coffee. Yes, random! Have you ever had memories just stick in your mind? This would be one of them.
Here I am giving you my very own Peppermint White Hot Chocolate recipe. With just the right amount of peppermint, that doesn’t overtake your pallet. It has to be my favorite drink by far that I have ever made. This is big Y’all. I’m talking biggest EVER! Starting a new family tradition with Peppermint White Hot Chocolate and sharing with my family during Thanksgiving and possibly Black Friday.
I’d love to hear some of your memories that are triggered by something so simple as a drink?
