City of ELBA
200 Buford Street, Elba, Alabama 36323
Elba, Alabama (October 21, 2015) – You’re invited to dress up your little ones, don a costume of your own, trick-or-treat at the ultimate neighborhood—Elba’s Court Square—come and join the block party at Pumpkins on the Square.
Halloween kicks off in force on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:00 p.m. in Elba for one of the Wiregrass area’s most fun fall events. For one evening only, Elba hosts Pumpkins on the Square a Halloween extravaganza round the square. Building on the tradition of safe trick or treating for children the event is presented by the Elba Chamber of Commerce, City of Elba, and Elba City Schools is made possible thanks to the support of Chamber member local businesses, churches and organizations.
Pumpkins on the Square is a family-focused event where neighbors can meet fellow neighbors and have fun in a safe environment,” said Elba Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sandy Bynum. “If you live, work or just want to visit, you are encouraged to participate. It is inspiring to work with our business community, organizations, and churches that are all dedicated to helping make this event possible.”
This year’s festival will include decorated tables scattered around the Square sponsored by civic groups, business folks, and church groups all distributing free candy. Offerings of other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy will also be available. There will be a free Jack O’ Lanterns on the Levee Walk, and small fee events such as the Foggy Bottom Haunted Hayride, and Jumping Maniacs will present a giant nine feet tall slide, and jumpy houses. New this year will be the Monster Mash at Tribe Dance Studio on the Square.
