Let’s talk football for a second. It’s officially football season, and it’s in more than full swing in our house. Being that The Husband and I are Aggies and the rest of his family LSU fans you can say that we have a competitive family. But when it comes to Homegating or Tailgating we put on our team colors and spend it as a family.
Three major must have things you need for a successful football party.
Food: Who doesn’t love good food? Some things you might need! Gas grills, portable smokers, and serving utensils, solo cups, coolers, and chillers. You can find some great recipes by checking out my recipes tab or heading over to Pinterest for inspiration.
Team Gear: Put on those team colors, dress up those kids and have a total blast. From team shirts, socks, headgear and props you can never go wrong with a little support of your favorite team.
Electronics: If you have a split home/family like I do you will need some way to watch both games. Wheather you’re outside watching your game or homegating at your house you will need those phones, TVs, and tablets. Let’s not forget some way to take pictures of all the fun you’re having, of course our phones are a good source for pictures but a digital camera can catch some amazing experiences when you have it available. Maybe a charger or two to keep everything charged. I could go on and on and on.
Fun: Bring your good spirit, gear and have a blast. Things to help with this would be parking lot games, footballs and plastic frisbees. You can also bring a football, card games, airplanes, kites and much more.
You would never guess what all these things have in common!
They all contain components made from plastic, rubber, waterproof and synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester, vinyl, and so much more. All of these products are byproducts of oil and natural gas. Who would have thought? When I first started looking into all the products that may contain or be the byproduct of oil and natural gas I was shocked. Almost everything. EVERYTHING!
So what products do you use for your tailgating party? I want to encourage you to make a list and try and guess what products are byproducts of oil and natural gas. It could even be made into a fun game for you and your friends/family.
