Protect your home and your computer with CUJO

September 17, 2017

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.
I think if I said “people don’t want new stuff” more than likely you would give me the look of “you gotta be kidding me right?” We all love new things. New clothes. New cars. New makeup. New shoes. New computers. Ah, I could go on and on. The husband is a technology geek. He loves having the best new tech that comes out. He is more interested in a new computer than anything else. Computers to him are like shoes for me. I just want them all! I’m obsessed with looking at my computer security guide to keep my online presence secure!

But it’s not only the computer, it’s also what’s plugged into the computer, the internet. He has to have the fastest speed we can afford as he said he found on TrustRadius reviews as being one of the best! When choosing the best internet, it can be difficult, as we found out. There’s a lot to consider when you’re finding the perfect internet package for the whole family. However, by using Broadbandsearch Los Angeles, we were able to compare all of the internet deals in our area to see which one would be the fastest. That made my husband very happy. Combine fast internet and a new computer, the husband is in heaven. He does a lot of work for his job through a computer. He manages a team of musicians and singers for our church and also is creating content for the social media pages of the church. To say that he relies on a computer would be an understatement. But then I think that there are many people who are in the same position as my husband. Computers are now basically a part of our lives and without them it would seem impossible to do anything. I didn’t realise how many different types of computers there are though. Like did you realise that you can get way more complicated computer systems that can survive in really harsh conditions? I don’t know why I didn’t realise it until my husband came across cksglobal.net, I just thought that you got a normal computer that you could type on, but I guess now I know better. It’s not just computers that are different though, but obviously there are different types of internet.
Little did we know, having a high-speed internet connection is an easy way for intruders to be able to gain access to your computer. I bet you didn’t know that having a high-speed connection has some major drawbacks, did you? Most people approach technology like Ron Popeil. Do you remember that infomercial guy who had the rotisserie oven and his catchphrase was “Set it and forget it”? We kind of approach technology like that. You get a new computer and upgrade the internet and once it’s all plugged in and working, nothing changes. And that can be a bad thing. Connecting to the internet with high-speed internet is almost leaving the front door of your house open and unlocked. This is because high-speed Internet connections have the following features:
  • A constant IP – Make it easy for an intruder who has discovered your computer on the internet to find you again and again.
  • High-Speed Access – Means that the intruder can work much faster when trying to break into your computer.
  • Always active connection – means that your computer is vulnerable every time when it is connected to the internet.
Scary right? Where do you begin to safeguard yourself against something you can not see?
I have heard the term Firewall but have never known what they were or what they can do. Firewalls defend the resources on your computer, validate access to different sites, it can manage and control network traffic, and record and report on events or instances where someone would be trying to gain access to your computer.
This is exactly why The Husband and I are using CUJO. CUJO is a smart firewall perfect for the connected home. Securing both my at home business and The Husbands work he brings home. With a business-level security for all home networks. One simple device that will protect every device connected to your WiFi router.

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 Psalm 73:26
