Feeding a family of 6 for $100 a week.

$100 a week, eat right, food, meal planning, parenting, spend less on food January 5, 2017

We’ve all been there, you go to the grocery store and spend tons of money for food. Since I’ve been eating healthy and making it mandatory that everyone eats the same things at dinner. Food allergies and all. Setting off on a new journey to not only eat healthily but to only spend $100 a week on food. This isn’t the easiest thing to do as you can imagine. With my mom now living with us, that’s three adults and three children to feed.

However, I will make it happen and share this journey along the way. Starting today. Every Monday I will be sharing my meal plans and grocery list. Then once or twice a week I will also be sharing with you some of the meals I make.

This will not only challenge me to be more aware of the money I’m spending. It will also help me be more healthy by planning out meals and getting creative in the kitchen. Who want’s the same meals all the time? I know I don’t. I’m extremely grateful that The husband is open to trying new things.

Wish me luck!!!

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 Psalm 73:26
