I’d love to say that I’ve really, really, really missed all of you and blogging this last week but let’s be honest, it was Christmas and I didn’t. I enjoyed my time away, and if we’re really honest, I loved having a break. I had a sense of relief in not opening up my computer, spending more time with the kids and doing absolutely nothing. However, if I go one more day, I think I will truly miss you. Like, for real.
My Christmas was a blast, and I hope yours was as well. But it’s over. Time to get to the New Year and the new things we plan on doing with our lives. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen that I’m changing the way I blog for awhile. (Maybe forever!) I want to write more. For Christmas, my mother-n-law got me the writing book. “Everyone Writes.” At first, I was like “What are you trying to say?”. But then I was overwhelmed because I knew exactly what she was saying. “You SUCK at writing.” Ok, I know she wasn’t saying that, but I know I was. I seriously needed some good writing tips! I’ve never been a great writer. EVER! And for that very reason, this book ended up being my favorite Christmas gift. (who’s favorite present is a book? Yeah, crazy, but it truly was.) ***Thanks mom by the way 🙂
Every year I try to get back to the basics of writing and every year I feel I fail. But thanks to @dianebodker I’m going to make it happen. I will be writing more and more and become a better writer eventually. Despite my dyslexia I know I will overcome 🙂 P.S. why does it feel like spring?? This weather is driving me crazy.. #bringonthecold Thanks for to the book Everybody Writes by @annhandley #everybodywrites #annhandley #booklover
With the help of this book, I know I will get better! And look at me now, not even six chapters in and I still suck at writing, lol. One of the first things this book teaches you is that to be a good writer you have to write all the time. Something I do not do because, well, I SUCK! Or I feel I do, lol. I should add that it also says you should not think of yourself as a bad writer? (For now, I’ll skip that part, lol.)
Anyways, on to the New Year for a New me, more working out, eating right and way more writing than I’m used to.
P.S. I do love you, and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a New Year.
What are your goals for the New Year?
P.S.S Don’t forget to get yourself a new mug because after all this writing you’re going to need some coffee!
