Just last week, I was invited to SA Live and wanted to share with you one of the DIY’s that we created. I’ve made these fun Christmas vases before but it’s been a while, and I wanted to share them again. They make great centerpieces, candy jars and much more. Don’t forget to keep your eye out for the upcoming post featuring the other crafts I made on SA Live. You can see the video below.
A fun fact: You can make these for under $15. Don’t forget that you can get creative and do not have to follow these instructions completely but you can make your own.
Materials you will need: I’ve included Amazon links to make it easy to purchase. However, you can head to your local Walmart or Hobby Lobby and find everything you need.
- Painters Tape
- Modge Podge
The first thing you will want to do is take your vase and painters tape and create your master piece.
For this project, I didn’t just put the Modge Podge on the vase and sprinkle glitter. I mixed the glitter and the Modge Podge. The cool thing about going about it this way is that when the glue dries it will keep all the glitter from falling off. No glitter mess! Keeping The Husband happy.
Last, thing you will want to do. Peel off the tape. You will want to do this right after you’re done painting. You want the glue to still be wet. If you wait too long it will start to peel off the glitter and mess up your straight line.
You are now finished and have a beautiful Christmas decoration. I hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to come back for the other two DIY projects from the segment.
