Fun Candy Apples! Perfect for Fall.

apple, apples, candy, candy apples, decorate, recipes October 12, 2016

Do you want to know why Fall is one of my favorite times of the year? Other than the weather change of course! Apples. Fall means that it is apple season and all the fresh tasty apples are at their best. An apple a day keeps the doctor away right? Being that Luke has so many allergies I love finding new fun ways for him to snack on tasty treats.

With apples, not only does Luke get an amazing, fresh off the tree treat but I also get to have a little fun in the kitchen and do a little Fall decorating as well.

Here are five different Fall candy apples that are fun for the whole family. Let’s not forget how great of a gift candy apples can be!

My mom and I set out to find the best apples we could find. Both from HEB and Walmart. I, of course, picked the juicy, bitter green, Granny Smith apples. I find candy apples best when you use a Granny Smith apple. My husband, on the other hand, loves yellow Golden Delicious apples. Sadly I found Gala apples that looked a little more appetizing and my husbands Golden Delicious apples were left behind.

After dipping our apples in melted caramel, I decided I wanted to decorate each one differently. A few with just sprinkles and others with drizzled chocolate, coconut, and pecans. I hope all of you find a little joy in this post and have a little fun making and creating your own mouth-watering candy apples.

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 Psalm 73:26
