Big thank you to #AsadoSeafood and #HiltonSanAntonio for sponsoring this post. Although it is a sponsored post all options are mine and mine alone.
If there is anything that The Husband and I have more in common than anything else it would have to be enjoying eating out together at a nice restaurant. With our seven year anniversary coming up I was excited to head to The Hilton San Antonio Airport to give Asado Seafood & Grill a run for its money. Little did I know that we were in for a ride and Asado didn’t disappoint. It was like taking a drive down the road alongside a beautiful mountain with nothing but beautiful/breathtaking views around every corner. BUT ON A PLATE!
From the moment we walked in the door to the last bite of Warm Chocolate Fondant Cake the views only got better. I hope you get where I’m going with this without me having to say it was absolutely astounding food.
Being that it is San Antonio Resturant Week we got to try Asado’s new menu. After talking over with the chef, we decided we wanted to try a little of everything. Ok, well we couldn’t get everything (that would have been a waste), but we each ordered different options and shared. Like husband and wife should right? With Asado bringing a little of San Antonio’s flair into each of their newly created dishes. I was over the moon and driving faster and faster down that beautiful mountain of flavors bursting in my mouth.
While sitting and chatting with the chef, all while stuffing our face with some warm sourdough bread, we had to decide which two of the three appetizers we wanted. I almost felt sad for the Hobel Farms Goat Cheese Gratin plate for not picking it. More like sad for myself for not getting to try it.
When it came for our main dish, we had four mouth-watering dishes to choose from. Blackened Texas Redfish, Gulf Red Snapper, a 17oz Tomahawk Pork Chop and a Grilled “Prim” Ribeye Steak. It’s almost impossible to explain how difficult the decision was for us to make. But after a long debate, it was the Red Snapper and the Ribeye Steak that we decided to take a test drive with.
The test drive was more than a success. We, of course, shared both plates although Jared (The Husband) almost had to pry the Loaded Brazo’s Mac & Cheese out of my hands. NOTHING better!
Once our tummies had been full, we had one more final yet most significant course of the night. DESSERT! It was time for the party to be on our plate and boy did it not disappoint. We had a much easier time picking since we had only two options. One for each of us. Perfect!
There was only one thing that was a disappointment about the whole evening. Not being able to try all the new items on the menu. It left us wanting more and another trip to Asado Seafood & Grill at the #HiltonSanAntonioAirport is definitely in our future.
