Just two weeks ago, I decided it was time to leave my night job at the hospital to become a stay at home mom again. Although I will miss my friends/co-workers, I will not miss the long nights that I spent working 12-hour shifts. Therefore, I’ve decided to make some fun little going away gift baskets for some of my co-workers.
As I was walking through Walmart looking for ideas on what to put in my gifts, I came across the new Extra® 35-stick pack. It made me think about what’s even worse about working night-shift. Around 3 am after we have all eaten and have been running on coffee, water and have been up a minimum of 15 hours, our breath would really start to show it’s little stinky face. You know that morning breath you get when you wake up in the morning? Yeah, that breath. It is not the best when talking to patients. You want to be confident and straight-forward when talking to them so they are at ease and comfortable because you are feeling comfortable as well. Making the new Extra® 35-stick pack the perfect gift for not only my co-workers but every other person they will be able to share with due to having more gum. Give Extra®, get Extra® right!
After picking up a couple of the new Extra® 35-stick pack, a couple of water bottles I was ready to head home and get to work. I wanted to sparkle up my water bottles and have fun, cute little DIY for you.
Things you will need.
Modge Podge, jewels, paper (I used some stickers), E6000 glue, plastic water bottles, the new Extra® 35-stick packs, ribbon and a bow.
The first thing you will want to do is decided what design you want on your water bottles. For the stickers, I used Modge Podge and coated the stickers so that once the stickers are dried you can wash the cup and not worry about them falling off and messing up your bottle. For the jewels, I used E6000 glue. Using this glue will keep all your jewels from falling off, and you will still be able to clean your cup.
For my gift I took my E600 glue and glued both Extra® Gum Spearmint and Extra® Gum Polar Ice® together. I then wrapped my ribbon around from top to bottom, glued my flowers and one last jewel to top it off.
After compleating my gift baskets, I decided that these new Extra® 35-stick packs are too amazing not to pass up making something fun for myself. I decided to take the durable (recycled packaging) the Extra® gum comes in and recycle it even more. I will be making myself a little card holder for my new business cards. Did you know that the new Extra® 35-stick pack is the perfect size for not only sharing but also fit perfectly into your purse!
The good thing about this is that you will already have everything you need to create your holder. Once you’ve shared your new Extra® 35-stick pack take you now empty clear container and trace out the shapes on your paper. Use the Modge Podge to glue your paper to your container. Once dried go over the outside with Modge Podge one more time and let dry. If you’re like me and want to add a little sparkle to it. Feel free to take your leftover jewels and glue them to the top making for a fun effect.
They turned out even cuter than I expected so I decided to make even more to add to my little gift. These are a must have and a perfect gift for any women with a purse!
Who would you like to give Give Extra® too? I’d love to see your creative idea on how you will Give Extra®, get Extra®!
