Spring is in full force and summer is right around the corner. You know what that means? The kids are coming home, no school. ALL. SUMMER. LONG! Summer is something parents get extremely excited about that is until the kids have been home a week and summer gets real. Here we go moms and dads. Pull out your planners and get ready to get busy DIYing because the more things you have planned, the easier and more fun summer will be. Here are a three different DIY paint projects that every kid will love and enjoy participating in every step of the creation process.

DIY Liquid Paint:

What you will need!

1 cup of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 cup of water, food color dye.

Mix your flour, salt, and water in large bowl. Once mixed well (you might need a little extra water) pour into different bowls add your favorite colors and mix again. Now you are all set and ready to paint with the kids. You could even add a little glitter to the mixture for an added touch of glitz.

chalk-paint

Powder Paint:

What you will need: Sidewalk chalk, plastic freezer baggies, and a hammer.

This one is simple. Take sidewalk chalk, place into a plastic baggie and smash with a hammer!

bath

Bath Paint:

This one is the most fun and even more simple. All you need is shaving cream and coloring. Mix well and start to have fun. I would recommend using a little less food coloring than what you might be accustomed to using because adding too much coloring to your mixture can stain your little one’s skin and/or the tiles grout in the shower.

But once all the fun painting is over, and the bath is taken care of, we still have to be a good parent and clean up the aftermath. In my house, I have to be extremely careful with what I wash Luke’s clothes in. He has many allergies and with one small slip of even the smallest amount of the wrong detergent, everything could go horribly wrong. That’s where the new all® fresh clean Essentials™ laundry detergent (When using make sure to follow the directions for use on the packaging exactly.) comes into play. I’m in love with not only the smell but that it’s also sulfate free, preserves the color of their clothes and cleans like no other laundry detergent I have. To make things a lot easier, you can buy this product on Amazon. One of the single best places to buy things because they ship right to your front door.

Now you’re all set and ready to go for a good week of the many weeks summer has to offer. If your crafty little one runs out of things to paint, you could always check out something a little more complex for them to do such as a Personalized Diamond Painting which is sure to keep them busy and will be something you’ll definitely want to frame. I hope y’all enjoyed all these fun paints and have a fabulous spring and summer. I would love to hear what you guys have planned for your own DIY projects to keep the kids busy this summer.

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 Psalm 73:26
