I’ve been struggling for weeks if not months about whether or not I should transfer over my Blogger blog to WordPress! This is a big change and for me what felt like a big risk with losing traffic. But from everything I’ve learned, it’s what is best for a blogger when growing. Don’t get me wrong. Blogger is amazing, and I’ve loved it! I will still tell anyone who want’s to start blogging and has no experience and isn’t amazing with computers that they should start with Blogger. It’s extremely user-friendly and takes little thought when it comes to putting together a blog post. It’s simple and easy. But with that being said there can be many downfalls when it comes to Blogger as well. That’s why I’ve decided to make the jump, and who knows in the future I could make the jump to self-hosting my own blog using a hosting company such as hostiserver or others!
It’s been stressful; I’m not going to lie to you! I knew if I just sat down, watched a few YouTube videos that I would be able to learn how to do it on my own, and for some things like knowing what to do to speed up wordpress when it’s lagging, that’s ideal, but I wasn’t willing to risk messing something up when it came to the initial design. That’s when I decided to hire Sara from Moonsteam Design. She has not only been extremely pleasant but quick as well. More than willing to help in any way that she can and has an extensive background making her the best for the job. Let’s not forget that Moonsteam is also affordable and doesn’t break the bank.
I just want to give a shout out to her for helping me do this and for making the transfer less stressful for me. I feel extremely confident that my blog is and was in good hands with Sara and cannot wait to figure the ins and outs of WordPress to make my blog the best that it can be.
Thanks again Sara, You’re the best!
