Christmas is here people, and it’s time to get into the kitchen and start thinking about what you plan on making for your Christmas dinner. In my family we all get-together Christmas morning at The Husbands parents house to open gifts, eat and spend the day together. Now this isn’t like most families. We are huge. Huge like the Brady Bunch, the Brady Bunch grown up with kids of their own and with big families like mine you need tons of food. The way we handle this is mom and dad make the entree dishes like the ham, turkey, and cornbread dressing or as I like to call it, Stuffing. That’s where the rest of the Brady Bunch comes in. We asked to bring all the sides, desserts and anything we want special for our family.
This year I think desserts are in my sights as well as mashed potatoes, but that’s just because I have to bring them or else my Cajun family will eat nothing but white rice, and this Texan needs her mashed potatoes.
Now back to the dessert I want to make. I’m having only one problem. Over the past six years that I’ve been apart of this family we are always too full after we eat that no one has room for desert. I came across Rubbermaid TakeAlongs, and it hit me. Why don’t I just make each family their own serving to take home with them. Make a dessert, put it into a Rubbermaid TakeAlong that way we can all enjoy our desserts when we are home, and our food has finally digested.
That’s why today I want to show you this amazing Banana Pudding family recipe that you can easily add to your Rubbermaid TakeAlongs and make sure your family is getting their much-needed dessert after a fun, fulfilled day of gift giving, celebrating and family eating.
Ingredients:
Rubbermaid TakeAlongs
4 small boxes of instant vanilla pudding
8 cups of milk
two cans of condensed milk
one large tub of Cool Whip (I always grab a small tub just to have extra if needed)
1 box of vanilla wafers
six bananas
Directions:
First you will mix your pudding mix, milk, 2/3 tub of Cool Whip and condensed milk.
Mix well and let it thicken in the fridge.
Take your Rubbermaid TakeAlongs and layer your vanilla wafers, bananas, and pudding mix. Once you have layered all of your ingredients, you will want to top it off with the remaining Cool Whip.
Finish it off by closing your Rubbermaid TakeAlong and add a decorative ribbon to seal the deal. You have now made a mouth watering dessert for your family to enjoy even if they might eat too much during dinner.
What are some of your favorite desserts that you want to make sure your family gets a chance to eat?

I love that this recipe can be made in the container, eaten and served from the container, and gifted in the container, genius! #client
