Nolan’s Ninja Turtles Birthday Party

birthday, DIY, Ninja Turtles Birthday Party, Partenting, parties, party April 1, 2015

I know I’m a little late when it comes to sharing Nolan’s birthday party with everyone and I can’t believe I forgot to even share. We had such an amazing time at his birthday and did some amazing DIY to get the party rolling. I actually didn’t spend much on making everything and I personally think it turned out great. The kids all had so much fun, which is the important thing. We were a bit worried they would get bored, as we were looking into bouncy castle hire perth after seeing some amazing ones online, but decided we didn’t have the money for it this year. However, the kids had fun all day long. We’ve started talking about what he wants to do for his next birthday. Some ideas include visiting an indoor play center and having a party at home where he can invite some of his friends. He’s already so excited. But we have plenty of time to plan that and we’re sure it’ll be as amazing as this birthday.

The biggest and best part of the party other than the large amount of sweets that the kids were handed at the end of the day to take home, and of course my son turning 5, had to be the cake. Speaking of sweets, it was as simple as doing a quick google search into wholesale candy, for example, and having the amount of sweet treats that we had at this party was just one way to make this a party one that my son loves talking about! Not sure how we will top the next birthday though, but as long as we have sweets, everyone will be happy!

Anyway, back to the cake. It was a simple cake box mix. What I did was color my whipped frosting and simply lined out my mask and smile and started dotting.

This is Nolan my now 5 year old. I know, I know I was rocking the mask that I made. These were simple as well. I went to Walmart, picked out the right color fabric that I wanted and just cut circles for the eyes. I think I ended up spending five dollars all together on 26 masks. Not to shabby.

Now for the fun party. The layout and goody bags. This was actually quite simple. I bought some green napkins and purple, red and blue party streamer that I actually got at the Dollar Tree along with my brown paper baggies and plastic forks. For the forks I wrapped them as shown above. Took me 5 minutes and turned out great for what I wanted.

For the paper baggies I did the same thing. I did add some fun googly eye that was actually the most expensive party of the party favors. As for the puzzles next to it for the kids I also bought at the Dollar Tree.

Now is just more pictures of our fun party. I’m extremely excited about how this party turned out and for what this next year will bring.

Oh my goodness! This ninja party was spectacular. One thing that I loved about your party is that you planned it for all age groups. It is great to see that everyone had so much fun in this party. Well, I am looking for the outdoor party places in the Bronx for my daughter’s 10th birthday party. Do you have any recommendations?

Living Life one day at a time

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 Joshua 24:15

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24 Colossians 3:23-24

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26 Psalm 73:26
