Working 3, 12 hour over night shifts and having 3 kids under the age of 5 is hard work. You can only imagine what my morning is like on a busy day when I get home from work have to rush my 5 year old to school, pick up my 3 year old to drop him off for Mothers-Day-Out and rush my 3 month old to the Dr. office all on no sleep from the night before. Coffee. All I can say is Coffee. And not just any coffee but McCafé Coffee. It helps me get through my roughest mornings but also on my mornings off.
My nights are magical. I get to “sleep” if that’s what you can call it, wake up, spend time with Nolan, Luke and Ryan without rushing out the door. I get to enjoy my daily cup of McCafé. Here is how my magical mornings work for me and my family.
Step 1: Brew my pod of McCafé. It smells up the whole house like no other coffee I have drank.
Step 2: Make my children breakfast, or make my husband help why I make his cup of coffee as well.
Step 3: Pull out my planner, Bible and phone to make sure I’m not missing anything for the day.
Now remember this is on a day off (a magical day) and a day that we are not rushing out the door because we have no time to do anything but make coffee in the morning.
Step 4: We all sit together, I like to read the bible to the kids and dad prays for all of us. I personally like to go over my planner and check what we have for the day then start planning the next week out.
Now all of this is being done with Ryan in my hand or breast-feeding. I absolutely love this photo. See Luke in the back holding up his Bible? One proud mama right here.
I’m not sure how I would live without my morning cup of coffee. I love how McCafé has 8 different varieties to choose from and come in both pods and premium bags. I also recently found out at the McCafé demo at Walmart (where I bought my McCafé) that McCafé is made with 100% Arabica Beans. How cool is that? I’m sure that’s why I have a burst of flavor that helps keep me awake during the day.
I am blessed to have my children and run them around to the places they are needed. I am also blessed to be able to sit with the at the kitchen table on some mornings, read my Bible and have a good cup of coffee to get our day started. There is nothing like spending quality time with your family. There is also nothing like a good cup of coffee to get your day going.
Just in case you were wondering how I made my coffee I wanted to share the secret.
One pod of McCafé
Tons of creamer
About a tablespoon full of Honey
That’s about how it goes. I say Honey is my secret to a great cup of coffee. Do you have a great morning routine? I would love to see or hear about what you do on a daily basics.
