Phone plans are not cheap. Especially when you have a growing family, kid in college or your a blogger, a pregnant blogger like me and needs your social media, Internet, and text to function while not at home.
Cheapest Wireless Plans with phones on Rollback at Walmart

Not to long ago I bought my very first Windows product. A Windows Surface. I love it. I love it so much that although my husband is a huge iPhone/Apple person I was ready to turn over to the dark side and get a Windows phone. My husband argued adamently and gave me endless reasons why iPhones are better, ranging from “they look cooler” to “you can get wholesale iphone screens and fix it yourself when you inevitably break it”. Fair point. However, my mind was made up. While walking through Walmart I came across the phones. I had looked at a few carriers such as Petro Canada Mobility but hadn’t decided which to go for. Not only did they have the Nokia Lumia 521 (a great Windows phone) on Rollback for $69.88 but come to find out they also have one of the wireless plans. A wireless plan with no contract. I was floored. I am floored. Who would have thought a phone could be so affordable?! I didn’t even think you could get a no credit check cellular phone this cheaply! You can just imagine the initial look on my face after reading this post… Looking at this I thought about getting a phone for my mother, but she thought she wouldn’t be able to get her head around phones like the Windows phone or iPhone. A friend told me about these cheap phones for seniors which we checked them out, it was even more exciting when I found out we might be able to put her on our wireless plan!
I decided to give it a go.
The people at Walmart were nice as always and explained everything extremely well, she even activated my phone for me. There was no contract, no credit check, post paid service, you can use your own phone that you already have (or get a new one like me) and the Walmart plan uses T-Mobile’s nation wide service so you will have no worries about dropped calls or losing service.
So far everything sounded great. I chose to go with the Nokia Lumia 521. Started up my starter kit and got my service activated for only $34.88 a month for unlimited talk, text and web. All together costing me under $100.
Saving money and loving my new phone. Explaining to my husband that he can still use his iPhone was a huge plus in his eyes. So if you have a senior heading to college, a freshman in high school, or maybe your like me and your husband has decided to head back to school and you just want a new phone with a cheaper plan. Walmart’s family mobile might just be the right place for you to go.
Very cool! I'll have to keep this in mind if we ever switch from our current plan 🙂
More and more Husband and I are thinking of going off contract. There is just so much collusion and hidden fees in mobile phone companies. So this seems like an excellent option!

Interesting, I would not have thought of looking there. My contract is coming up for renewal. I will have to compare.
Thanks!

Awesome! I am going to have to let my husband know about this! we are really looking to switch our current plan, it's totally draining us of money! Thank you for sharing this awesome opportunity!
Wow. That's a great plan. Something to keep in mind when it comes time for a new phone.
Yes! This is definitely a win in my book from personal experience!
WOW! That is really cheap…something to keep in mind!
My husband, my sister, and I have all gone this route, too! We've all got the Nokia 521 as well, and (for the most part) love it. It can be a little glitchy with Wi-fi calling and some apps like Instagram, but for such a small price tag, we've overall been happy with it. 🙂 One bit of advice: I'd HIGHLY recommend getting a cover for the phone (you can buy colorful ones for just a few dollars online) as this model doesn't hold up to drops at all. Both my sister and I have been through two phones each since we got the 521 about 8 months ago!
Walmart seriously has the best plans! I wish they did them in Walmart Canada too.
The plans here in the USA are incredible compared to Canada (where I used to live lol). My husband and I have a pay-as-you-go, and it's 5GB + unlimited texting, for $30/mth! Nuts. I love it.
I hadn't thought about shopping for cell phone plans at Walmart, I will have to check it out.
Walmart has some AWESOME deals!
Phone plans are so expensive! I had no idea you could get them at Walmart. Neat!
I had no idea you get them at walmart! That's awesome.
Sounds like a really good plan!!!!
Interesting! I would have never thought to look there for a new phone. Thanks for sharing!
This sounds really cool, and cost efficient. Do you know if their plans will work internationally?
glad you found something you are so happy with! =)
I always see the phones there, but when buying never think to GO there. If I can ever part with Verizon I may give it a shot!
This sounds like a great plan! $35 for unlimited talk, text, and web is awesome. We pay so much for Verizon but I love them! Maybe one day we will venture out and lower our phone plan.
I have heard a lot of great things about Walmart Family Mobile. I'm glad the process was easy for you!
Great guide! I was thinking about leaving my contract and switching soon.
We don't have this store in Ireland but it looks like a great mobile plan. Glad you found something that you're happy with 🙂
thats great you found something to work for you. I might have to look more into this !
My boyfriend and I need to go on a joint plan at some point! My whole family is on Vodafone so I save so much by having free calls to them!

I love WFM the prices are just so good! And they have awesome plans!
I am seriously thinking about going from Verizon back to t-mobile. They have a great plan right now that's cheaper than what I'm paying and I think the service may even be better. Thank you for the info 🙂
Glad you found a phone and plan you like! I don't really use my phone much so I pretty much default to pay as you go, esp now that I was sent a nice phone and going pay-as-you-go no longer means I have to splurge on one.
How is the service though? We switched in the past to a cheaper alternative and the call quality and service was terrible. We quickly switched back to T-Mobile.
I think if you only use a mobile phone it's REALLY important to have reliable service. But if you are only using it when you are out and about this is an AMAZING deal!!
That's awesome! Always nice to have a cheap alternative – might look in to this when it's time to get my son a cellphone!
I need some serious help with my phone bill. It has gotten out of control with all the add ons. I need to go through everything I have on mine and get rid of somethings. This sounds like an awesome plan and something I would be very interested in. Thanks for sharing.
I would never think of going to the grocery store for deals like this. Great tip!
sounds like a really great deal! I always love inexpensive things, especially phone plans! (:
That's such a nice deal!
Thanks for the recommendation- we currently use AT&T, but we aren't always crazy about their customer service.
Good to know about Walmart and wireless plans 🙂
I didn't even realize that Walmart had wireless plans. Sounds like some great deals as well. Thank you for sharing.

I didn't know WalMart had wireless plans! Great deals!
I will keep this in mind for when I get a new phone. Thanks!
The Nokia phone is really start to light up in my eyes, ever since the brick Nokia phone back in the day I kinda walked away now am slowing coming back.
