The other night at work I was shocked to find out that a friend of mine was in fact not eating spaghetti but it was actually spaghetti squash. Something I at the time was amazed at. How on earth did her spaghetti actually be squash? I had no idea how this could be so I talked it over with her and did a little research of my own and decided that I wanted to give it a try. At my attempt to eat healthier as well as find new things that my youngest who is allergic to everything can eat. I was delighted to find out that not only were spaghetti squash cheap but also extremely simple to make. Actually I would say that it may have taken a little longer to cook but was much simpler.
First things first. You need to decided what kind of sauce you want. I just used meat sauce just like regular spaghetti. Then your spaghetti squash, olive oil, salt and pepper. I found that there are a couple of different ways to cook your spaghetti squash. Since I was short on time and did not have the time to wait 1.5 hours to cook the quash I decided to cut it into smaller pieces instead of leaving it cut in half. It cut the cooking time down to about 45 minutes. But next time, which there will be a next time I will be trying it the other way as well. I took a couple of photos to help explain how I cooked it. Aside from the photos all you need to know is to pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
